15 Oktober, preview of the dokumentary “For our freedom and yours”
The 15 October at the Polish Institute in Rome, , there was a preview of the movie produced by Filmlux in collaboration with Rai Storia “FOR OUR FREEDOM AND YOURS”, at the presence of the Polish Ambassador Wojciech Ponikiewski, the Italian president of RAI Anna Maria Tarantola, the director of Rai Culture Silvia Calandrelli and the director of Rai Storia Giuseppe Giannotti.
A pleasant evening where the Italian and Polish history met together, thanks to the movie of Elena de Varda, that for the first time in Italy narrates the story of the II Polish Corps, led by General Anders, who won at Monte Cassino and foght together with Italian patriots . Many Italians after seeing the movie thanked because they did not know the Plolish sacrifice to liberate Italy and this particular story of friendship. More information at this link
